The production process
Gkazas Olive Oil stands for organic, sustainable, extra virgin olive oil that is produced in an honest way. Would you like to know how we get our Greek olive oil from the trees of Crete to your kitchen table?
We harvest our Cretan olives every winter. Firstly, we knock them out of our trees with love and care. We catch the olives in nets so we can separate them from the twigs and leaves. At the end of every harvest day, we put the olives in gunny bags and bring them to our press.
We bring the olives to a local press on the same day that we harvest them. Here the olives are washed, cold-pressed, and grounded. The result is a delicious, organic extra virgin olive oil. A pure and honest family product!
After a (long) process of self-filtering, the olive oil is bottled and driven by truck to the Netherlands. Here, we deliver our extra virgin olive oil with our own courier-service by car or carrier cycle.
